Este proyecto propone un espacio representativo y funcional para el Colegio de Arquitectos de Baja California Sur, concebido como un recinto que permita al gremio desarrollar sus actividades de manera eficiente, colaborativa y abierta a la comunidad.
Más allá de la noción tradicional de edificio institucional, la propuesta busca integrarse de forma orgánica al parque contiguo, generando un flujo dinámico que invita tanto a los arquitectos como a los visitantes a participar en las actividades culturales y urbanas del Colegio.
La plazoleta central, concebida como una extensión del espacio público, se plantea como un punto de encuentro entre el gremio y la sociedad. Su configuración está pensada para albergar eventos, talleres, conferencias y exposiciones, fomentando la interacción y el intercambio de ideas.
El proyecto responde a una filosofía educativa y participativa, entendiendo al Colegio como un agente activo en la construcción del entorno urbano y arquitectónico de Los Cabos. Desde su forma hasta su funcionalidad, el edificio expresa discreción, integración y respeto por el contexto, optimizando recursos y satisfaciendo las necesidades espaciales del gremio.
Destacan espacios clave como el taller, el auditorio para asambleas y la plazoleta de integración, diseñados para promover la colaboración y el pensamiento colectivo. El estacionamiento, resuelto con eficiencia dentro del perímetro del parque, cumple con los requerimientos normativos sin afectar la calidad del espacio público ni generar sobrecostos.
La materialización de esta sede representa una colaboración entre arquitectos, iniciativa privada, gobierno y sociedad civil, con la aspiración de mirar hacia el futuro y construir progreso a través de la arquitectura.
This project proposes a representative and functional space for the College of Architects of Baja California Sur, conceived as a venue that enables the guild to carry out its activities efficiently, collaboratively, and in close connection with the community.
Beyond the traditional notion of an institutional building, the proposal seeks to integrate organically with the adjoining park, creating a dynamic flow that invites both architects and visitors to engage in the cultural and urban activities of the College.
The central plaza, envisioned as an extension of public space, serves as a meeting point between the profession and the community. Its configuration allows for events, workshops, conferences, and exhibitions, fostering interaction and the exchange of ideas.
The project embraces an educational and participatory philosophy, positioning the College as an active agent committed to addressing the urban and architectural challenges of Los Cabos. Both formally and functionally, the building expresses discretion, integration, and respect for its surroundings — optimizing resources while fulfilling the spatial needs of the guild.
Key spaces include the workshop, the assembly auditorium, and the integration plaza, all designed to encourage collaboration and collective thinking. The parking area, efficiently resolved within the park perimeter, meets regulatory requirements without compromising the quality of public space or generating additional costs.
The realization of this headquarters represents a collaborative effort among architects, private initiative, government, and civil society, united by a shared aspiration: to look toward the future and build progress through architecture.
